  • Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s annual puffin festival is back for a seventh year on 7th and 8th June, including puffin-watching, our widest ever range of wildlife walks, boat trips, workshops on how to photograph puffins and other wildlife from afar, activities run by The Deep, a range of wellbeing sessions, storytelling sessions and craft workshops.

  • Saturday 7th June (10-3pm) 'Let's All Swap Together For Good'. Eco Barnoldswick are holding a 'Big Green Week' event at the Frank Street Centre. Barnoldswick, swapping clothes, plants and other items as well as providing activities for children and refreshments.

  • Tuesday 10th June from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. For Great Big Green Week this year Richmondshire Climate Action Partnership have organised an Eco Information Fair on in Richmond Town Hall. As well as local environmental groups holding stalls with information on their activities, we will be providing information on insulating you home, fitting solar panels and heat pumps and inviting local businesses involved with these activities.

  • Thursday 12 June, 10:00am – 3:00pm Walk: Peregrine Watch at Malham Cove.

  • Saturday 14 June from 7pm: SOS Fundraiser (see below)

  • Saturday 14th June (10am-12.30pm) June's Green Cafe featuring 'Homes for Dales Birds'. As part of this month's Green Cafe we will have an opportunity to join Hilary McGuire from the RSPB in a 'walk, talk and watch' event giving us the chance to share ideas about where to put up nest boxes and improve/create new habitats and then to do some mapping to bring this all together - for numbers, please sign-up here. Timings: walk around Settle (10-11am), mapping with RSPB (11am-12Noon), notices and close (12-12.30pm). Meet at the Methodist Church for the walk or just join us for refreshments and a chat over topical issues until the 'walkers' return.

  • Thursday 19th June (7 for 7.30pm) Limestone Books' book themed Quiz Night. A fundraiser for Settle Community Library at Settle Victoria Hall. £5 per person in teams of four. Tickets from Limestone Books or the Library.

  • Friday 20th June Wild Film Screening: Wilding at an off grid barn among stunning ancient woodlands at Bank Woods for a wonderfully wild nature-filled evening.

  • Saturday 21st June (10-4pm) Action on Climate Emergency (A.C.E) Settle and Area stall at Settle Pool’s 50th Anniversary Carnival. We will be running a stall at the Carnival. Come and say hello and chat about how you can help the climate and nature, whilst at the same time reducing your energy bills, supporting Fairtrade, improving air quality and much more.

  • 24th June - Newcastle People, Planet, Pint

  • 26th June - Manchester People, Planet, Pint

  • 26th June - Warrington People, Planet, Pint

  • 28th June - Northallerton Repair Cafe

  • Thursday 26th June Natural Mindfulness Well-being Walk

  • Saturday 28th June Woodland Outdoor Sound Bath at Bank Woods

  • Wild Justice’s most recent petition calling for a ban on driven grouse shooting recently passed the 100,000 signatures required to trigger a parliamentary debate in Westminster. The date of the debate has now been announced as Monday 30 June at 4.30pm.
