The organisers say:
”It will be a fun day of volunteers from local communities coming together to restore the land on the Northumberland-Cumbria border. They will plant a variety of native trees including Willow, Alder, Hawthorn, Rowan, Aspen and Birch.
”The planting area is less than quarter of a mile walk through farmland, up onto moorland, where they will be planting the trees along a series of gullies. Everyone is welcome to participate, although there are some access limitations, so if you have questions about this do get in touch.
”They will provide all the tools and guidance, but please bring your own gloves if you have them along with a packed lunch and hot drink. Wear sturdy boots and appropriate clothing.”
