Welcome to the 89th edition of the The Northern Eco. Here’s a round-up of events coming up across North Yorkshire and the North East for those with a greener heart.

  • Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust will be taking its award winning Rivers2U mobile classroom to Arthington Show - on 18 August

  • Mon 19 August - Rotters stall at Selby market (with Nigel Brown's love food hate waste cookery demonstrations) - Selby market Place (on the back wall near the George Inn), Selby YO8 4NS  8.15am - 2.30pm

  • Wed 21 August - Rotters stall at Skipton market, Skipton High Street, BD23 1DU -  9.00am to 2.00pm

  • Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust will be taking its award winning Rivers2U mobile classroom to Skell Valley Project Family Fun at Fountains Abbey - 22nd August 11am -3pm

  • Book Wilding Online - Nature's Ghosts Thursday, 22 August from 6.30-7.30pm.

  • Fri 23 August - Love Food Hate Waste Smoothie bike activity - Filey library, Station Avenue, Filey, YO14 9AE - 10:30am to 12:30pm
