North Yorkshire councillors meeting this morning decided against discussing the important Climate and Nature Bill. Instead they referred it back to a committee and will not now present it to full council until February next year.
At the quarterly meeting, they also formally withdrew the request for a debate on fluoridation that we reported yesterday saying that the matter had previously been discussed.
As the meeting started, one councillor complained about the “ludicrous” number of agenda items facing them saying that they would be “losing the will to live” at the end of the day.
Those decisions were taken early in the meeting and can be watched via the video above.
